Kirsten Vail Aguilar was born and raised in Sonoma, California. She holds a degree in International and Global Studies from Middlebury College and an MFA in Creative Writing from University of Notre Dame. She has attended the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and a residency at the Arquetopia Foundation in Peru. Currently, she lives in Chicago and works as a freelance writer and editor.
